Constructed from a black jumbo mesh underlay and covered by iridescent synthetic leather overlays, this colourway is a huge throwback to the early 2000s era of sneakers. A smoky “N” logo adorns the sides, while the Chicago-based designer’s signature JFG branding embellishes the forefoot, rear tab, and blue sockliners. A “1000” callout appears on the tongue and heel, with a thick set of matching rope laces weaving in and out of the central tongue loops. The chunky foam midsole nestles atop the gum rubber outsole, delivering plush comfort and reliable traction that would have powered runners through many a mile back in the late '90s.
Arriving in a shiny silver open lid box, the reverse of which details the JFG & NB collaboration in a very stylised Y2K airbrushed font, the storytelling on this has not missed a beat. This JFG NB 1000 also comes with an extra set of duel tone rope laces which are based in the reversed colour scheme to the set already tied on.
