The Swoosh team's Air Max 1 silhouette is inarguably the most iconic Air Max model to date. For those who are still strangers to the silhouette, the AM1 was introduced by Tinker Hatfield in 1987 as the first-ever Nike shoe to accommodate a visible pod encasing the sportswear giant's famous Air technology. Up until this day, the Air Max 1s continue to stay at the forefront of sneaker culture, including high-heat collaborations like the all-new Patta x Nike Air Max 1 Monarch.
The duo has worked multiple times on the same model before, but this highly sought-after "Monarch" iteration definitely sets itself apart from its predecessors. The award-winning formula? Nubuck-woven orange mudguards in a shape of a wave.
The counterparts, including the mesh underlays, indulge in a "Pure Platinum" colour-way for a clean look, with "Sail" marking the midsole unit and interior lining for an aged vibe.
